Who God Truly Is
Jesus teaches us that God is not a person as men imagine, but the very substance of being and soul. His soul is the source of all love and affection, and from this divine essence He offers to share with humanity so that we may become like Him.
God cannot be seen with physical eyes, nor even with spiritual sight. He can only be known through the soul’s eyes when they are filled with His Love. He is not seated on a throne or bound to one place in heaven. His attributes fill the universe, and His presence surrounds all creation.
Above all, God is Love. He is not angry, wrathful, or seeking to punish. He does not will suffering on anyone, whether saint or sinner. Instead, His Love is constant, His Mercy is ready to forgive, and His Wisdom has provided the only true plan for the redemption of humanity.
God has no voice as men understand it. He communicates in silence, soul to soul, or through His angels, who carry His messages. The descriptions of thunderous voices or mighty winds in Scripture are symbolic, meant to help human understanding, but the reality is that God’s presence is felt within the soul.
In truth, God is without form or personal appearance. He is the eternal personification of Love, Wisdom, and Power. This is who He is, our Father who longs to share His very essence with His children. Through sincere prayer and a true longing of the soul, His Love is freely given, and He’s simply waiting for you.
