The Two Loves: Human and Divine
In this world, love is often spoken of as the greatest force we can know. Yet not all love is the same. There is the love that comes naturally to us as human beings, the affection that draws us to family, friends, and those we care for deeply. And there is another Love, higher and eternal, that comes only from God.
Human love is a precious gift. It makes life warmer and brings people together. It can comfort, encourage, and heal. But as beautiful as it is, it changes with time. Feelings shift, circumstances alter, and hearts can grow distant. Even a mother’s love, the strongest of all natural loves, can fade or lose some of its strength.
This kind of love belongs to the natural world. It is the love that joins hearts, builds families, and gives us our sweetest human joys. But it cannot give the soul eternal happiness or union with God. It remains within the limits of what is human.
There is, however, a greater Love available to every soul, the Divine Love of the Father. Unlike human affection, this Love never changes or fades. It is drawn into the soul through sincere prayer and longing for God’s presence. Once received, it transforms the soul’s very nature and lifts it into oneness with the Divine.
Even the love between true soulmates, the most perfect form of natural love, becomes complete only when both souls open to the inflowing of this higher Love. Divine Love gives stability, purity, and joy that natural affection alone cannot provide.
The message is simple but profound: cherish the love you have for one another, nurture it, and let it grow, but do not stop there. Seek the greater Love that comes from the Father. It will strengthen every other love, carry you through every trial, and bring the peace and happiness that last forever.
