God Is Love, Not a Cruel Judge
For many people, the Bible has been presented as a book that reveals both love and eternal punishment. Some passages are taught as if God will cast souls into an unending hell and somehow take pleasure in their suffering. That idea is so painful because it does not sound like love at all. It is not surprising that many people cannot find peace sitting quietly with such a message.
The truth is, that image of God did not come from the Father. It came from human interpretation, mistranslations, and fear-based teachings that have grown over centuries. Jesus came to show us something far greater than a fearful religion. He came to reveal the Father as Love itself.
The hells are real, but not as places of endless torture. They are conditions and locations in the spirit world that reflect the state of the soul. When a soul chooses a life apart from love, it finds itself in a place that matches its spiritual darkness. That is not God’s cruelty. It is simply the law of spiritual harmony. When the soul turns toward the Father, it is lifted out of those conditions and into light. Darkness is not eternal punishment. It is a temporary state that can be changed as the soul opens to love.
The Father does not punish to satisfy His anger. He works to draw every soul closer, to lift each one out of darkness into His Love. That is why the gift of the New Birth was given. Divine Love is offered to all, and it transforms the soul from the inside.
There is no delight in suffering in the heart of God. The true nature of the Father is tenderness, patience, mercy, and a love that reaches further than any sin or mistake. Eternal torment is not His plan. The Father’s plan is restoration, healing, and oneness with Him through His Love.
This is why Jesus still calls to the soul today. Not to frighten it into belief, but to awaken it to a Love that has no cruelty in it. A Love that lifts, softens, and frees.
God is not an angry ruler waiting to condemn. God is a Father waiting to embrace.
