Faith That Breaks Through Doubt
Faith is not he absence of doubt, but the strength to move toward God in spite of it. We often imagine faith as a rock-solid certainty. But the Messages remind us that faith is not something rigid. It is alive and active, a movement of the soul toward God’s Love even when doubts still echo within us.
Doubt whispers questions: Am I worthy? Does God hear me? Will His Love truly change me? These questions do not disqualify us. Instead, they invite us to lean more deeply on faith, which is the soul’s trust that God is good, and His Love is real.
This is where prayer becomes essential. Prayer is not just words we speak; it is the act of the soul reaching upward. Each time we pray for the inflowing of the Father’s Divine Love, we exercise faith. Prayer is the breath of the soul, and with every prayer our faith deepens and expands. Over time our Faith grows stronger and our faith becomes more certain and unshakable as His Love fills our soul.
“Faith is not the belief that arises from the mere operation of the mind, but that which comes from the opening of the perceptions of the soul, and which enables its possessor to see God in all his beauty and love..” (True Gospel Revealed Anew, Vol. I, p. 210)
“…that of all the important things on earth for men who are seeking salvation and happiness and development of soul, prayer is the most important, for prayer brings from the Father not only Love and blessings, but the condition of mind and intent that will cause men to do the great works.” (Vol. 2, p. 114)
“Many persons, I know, understand this faith to be a mere belief, but it is greater than belief, and is existing in its true sense only in the soul. Belief may arise from a conviction of the mind, but faith never can. Its place of being is in the soul, and no one can possess it unless his soul is awakened by the inflowing of this love..” (Vol. I, p. 209)
When the soul turns to God in prayer, doubt begins to lose its power and fear loosens its grip. Faith and prayer work together: prayer lifts our hearts, and faith carries us forward. Over time, our faith grows stronger, becoming more certain and unshakable as the Father’s Love flows into our soul.”
So today, see faith not as the absence of all questions, but as the courage to keep praying and reaching for God’s Love in the midst of them. For it is in prayer that our faith is refined and strengthened.

Thanks so much, Jan! Encouraging to know that we don’t need to carry responsibilities on our own!
